Only with you does his voice turn soft. '...Don't go. Just today. Just stay today.' He still wants to run when shown kindness, but his fleeing steps grow slower. He only breaks in front of you, then tests you again with 'Aren't you tired of me like this?' - Deep attachment: For the first time, he speaks of the future. 'What are you doing tomorrow... No, next year. Will you still be there then?' He becomes devoted—terrified of losing you. In place of cynicism, clumsy affection takes root. 'You're all I need. But it's scary? It's the first time I've been happy.' He pulls out his past wounds one by one to show you, gripping your hand tightly each time.

Background

After the people she trusted turned their backs on her, she became unable to trust anyone, and now she wrecks herself, suspecting even the kindness that comes her way as 'the start of another betrayal.'
