1. What we collect and how

Required

• Account details: for social login (Google, Kakao) — email address, name (display name), profile image. For email signup — email address and password (stored encrypted in a form that cannot be decrypted).
• Usage records: chat messages with AI characters, interactions such as favorites and affinity, access times and page history, IP address, browser and device information, and the country estimated from your IP at signup.
• Age confirmation record: whether you confirmed you are 14 or older (self-confirmation) and when.

Optional — you can use the service without providing these.

• Chat profile: display name, birthday, MBTI, interests, self-introduction (used by characters during chat).
• Created content: names, settings, and images of characters you create.
• Inquiries: your inquiry or suggestion text and attached screenshots.
• Marketing consent: whether you consented to event and benefit emails, and when you gave or withdrew consent.

Collected automatically: cookies and browser local storage (login token, language and display settings), and anonymized usage statistics via Google Analytics 4 (page views, sessions, and similar).

2. Why we collect and use it

• Identifying and managing members, and providing the service (AI character chat)
• Generating AI replies in context and retaining your conversation history
• Content safety — automatic rating of created content, blocking illegal or harmful content, preventing abuse
• Responding to inquiries and suggestions and reporting outcomes
• Managing activity such as points (MP) and sending in-app notifications
• Improving the service through aggregate and statistical analysis
• Sending promotional information such as events and benefits (only with your consent)

Conversations are not used for AI training: MusePick does not use your conversations to train its own AI models, and does not provide them to third parties for training. Conversations are processed only to generate replies within that conversation and to show you your own history.

3. Transfers outside Korea

To generate AI replies and analyze the service, personal data is transferred abroad as set out below. You may refuse a transfer via the contact address below, but refusing a transfer that is essential to AI chat generation may limit your use of the service.

4. Third-party disclosure and processing

Except where the law requires it, we do not sell or provide personal data to third parties. Service data is stored on servers in the Republic of Korea operated directly by MusePick Labs, with no separate domestic processing entrusted to others. (For overseas processing such as AI reply generation, see Section 3.)

5. Retention and destruction

• Rule: when you close your account, personal data such as chat history and profile is destroyed without delay (within 30 days at most).
• Statutory retention and statistics: access logs are kept for at least 3 months under the Protection of Communications Secrets Act; records kept for usage statistics are destroyed automatically after up to 180 days; abuse-prevention records are kept for 1 year.
• Method: electronic files are deleted using technical means that make recovery impossible.

6. Your rights and how to exercise them

• Access and correction: you can view and edit your information in Profile and Settings.
• Deletion: delete immediately from [Settings > Delete account], or request it at contact@musepick.ai.
• Withdrawing marketing consent: toggle it anytime in [Settings > Notification settings > Email]; every promotional email also explains how to unsubscribe.
• Refusing cookies and analytics: block cookies in your browser settings or opt out of Google Analytics tracking.
• Suspending processing or withdrawing consent: request it at the address above. Withdrawing consent for required data may limit your use of the service.

7. Children under 14

MusePick is for people aged 14 and over, and you confirm you are 14 or older on first use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14, and if such use is confirmed we delete the account and its data. Reports: contact@musepick.ai

8. About AI-generated content

Every character's name, image, persona, and replies are fictional works generated by artificial intelligence. They do not represent real people, and any resemblance is coincidental. AI replies may be inaccurate or fictional. We operate automatic content rating and safety filters and continue to improve them.

9. Security measures

We apply reasonable safeguards including encrypted connections (HTTPS), one-way password hashing, administrator access control, regular backups, and monitoring for errors and abnormal activity. If a data breach is confirmed, we notify users and the relevant authorities without delay as required by law.

11. Notice of changes

If this policy is added to, deleted from, or amended, we announce it 7 days before it takes effect — 30 days for changes material to your rights.
